Employment creation for people living with disabilities at the IDC

Stimulating economic growth and creating employment is the mandate of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and Black Economic Empowerment, as well as disability and LGBTQI+ inclusion.

The IDC runs learnership, bursary and internship programmes for people living with disabilities and attended the 2024 Disability Summit and Career Expo to discover how all levels disability inclusion can be accommodated with the organisation.

Disability Connect spoke to IDC’s Lloyd Hlengani, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist and Phephisile Tshotetsi, Skills Development Specialist at the Summit and Expo.
