The Disability Connect Workplace Readiness Roadshow came to the Transoranje School for the Deaf in Pretoria West with corporate sponsor for the day Citi South Africa.
Acting Principal Leria Delport said it was a wonderful opportunity for the deaf learners to be coached in preparing them for life beyond the classroom with facilitators and interpreters conveying the message in a language they could understand.
Sign language is currently being proposed as the 12th official South African language and is up for public comment.
